Duties: Under broad supervision, assists in coordinating the engineering, maintenance, renovation, and construction of facilities. Performs installations, repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment and related systems, in accordance with industry standards, guidelines and applicable codes. May serve as project leader in maintenance, renovation and construction functions. May serve as a lead worker and/or supervise support staff. Position requires 24 hour on-call availability.
Competencies (Agency Specific): Considerable knowledge of procedures, tools and equipment used in the electrical trade; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions and directions; ability to accurately determine work to be performed and resources required; knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Codes). Ability to lift, push, pull and carry heavy items. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications (Agency Specific): Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of experience as a journeyman electrician OR High School Diploma or GED AND Four (4) years of experience as a journeyman electrician. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and meet the agency’s requirements to be an authorized driver.

GBA provides maintenance, renovations, housekeeping, landscaping, food service, event catering, recycling, parking, and building access services to state employees housed in GBA-managed facilities.
